Vancouver, BC, Nov. 21, 2016 – Warrick Chu, CEO of Qoola Frozen Yogurt Bar, has revealed that Qoola, the Vancouver founded company has acquired both of Yeti Yogurt’s Canadian locations. The future looks bright for the Canadian frozen yogurt company, which currently has 16 stores nationwide with 3 more due to open over the next few months, which will take the company to a total of 21 stores inclusive of the 2 Yeti locations at SFU in Burnaby and Esplanade Avenue in North Vancouver in time for the company’s 8th Birthday.
“Yeti Yogurt was founded in the US, and the acquisition of its Canadian locations is a proud moment for Qoola, a Canadian company,” said Chu. “It’s an exciting time for us – growth is an important part of any company but being able to achieve it during a recession is a remarkable achievement.”
The next three locations planned as part of Qoola’s expansion are:
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, where 9 million tourists flock annually – opening Winter 2016
Richmond’s latest shopping mall, Central at Garden City – opening Spring 2017
Abbotsford’s Highstreet Shopping Centre, a previous Pinkberry location – opening Spring 2017
“Qoola is on a mission,” says Chu. “We want to offer people a healthier dessert alternative, with always fresh and never powdered frozen yogurt that’s packed with probiotics. We have also expanded our product lines to deliver quick, grab-and- go healthy options for breakfast and lunch, including acai bowls, superfood smoothies, salads, sandwiches, vegan baked goods, and more.”
Qoola Frozen Yogurt was founded in 2008 with its first store located at the heart of downtown Vancouver. Built on the concept that dessert can be both delicious and nutritious, the company has expanded to over 20 locations across Canada. Recently winning Best Frozen Yogurt in the Georgia Straight’s 2016 Golden Plates Awards, Qoola exemplifies quality. Always fresh and never powdered, they offer a wide selection of different frozen yogurt, gelato and sorbet flavours with low-fat, no sugar added, and gluten-free options that are certified kosher.
